K-9 Designs Dog Grooming was founded in 1998 by Mindy (Burkett) Petramalo as a stationary shop in Pennsylvania. Mindy began a dog grooming course at age 11, and by age 13, Mindy set up her first shop with the help and support of her parents. In 2004, Mindy moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University. Wanting to continue her career in dog grooming, Mindy began a small mobile service by  grooming dogs in customer's garages. Winter soon put an end to grooming outdoors.

In January 2006, Mindy purchased the business's first high-top conversion van  and with the help of her father, Charles Burkett, the van was converted to a mobile grooming salon. K-9 Designs Dog Grooming could now officially add the word "Mobile" to it's name.After 13 years, Mindy continues to pamper pets around the Utah County location and still loves her "line of woof."

Joseph (Mindy's husband) began grooming in June of 2008. He quickly became heavily involved in grooming and helping Mindy operate the business. Now together they operate K-9 Designs Mobile Dog Grooming and hope to make a great grooming experience for you and your pet!
